# Email for Mac

> Mail clients with smarter inboxes, Gmail focus or open-source freedom.

From dockpicks (https://dockpicks.com/), a hand-picked, independent directory of Mac apps. Web page: https://dockpicks.com/email/

Group: Work. 6 apps, listed best first. Prices are the vendor's wording, checked October 2026, and can change.

Built into macOS: Mail. Apple Mail handles multiple accounts, sorts messages into Primary, Transactions, Updates and Promotions categories, and can schedule messages with Send Later and undo a send within 10 seconds. For a few personal accounts it is fine. Consider another client if you live in Gmail labels, want shared team inboxes, need PGP encryption, or want a keyboard-driven power tool.
